Superstars in Business

Each year, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce honors businesses and nonprofit corporations for their outstanding accomplishments and model approaches to business and management.

The Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Awards, named for one of Delaware’s leading small business entrepreneurs, are presented to companies that have been established for at least three years, have no more than 150 employees, and are members of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. Winners are chosen in categories based on the number of employees per company. Another award is given to an outstanding nonprofit corporation. Awards of Excellence are also awarded to deserving companies.

The Superstars in Business awards are named for the late Marvin S. Gilman, a paragon of small business in Delaware. The winners range in size from five employees to 121 workers.

These winners exemplify the Small Business Alliance ideal of attaining increasingly higher standards for service, profitability and customer satisfaction.

The Mental Health Association in Delaware provides education, support and advocacy in developing mental health services throughout the community. (Nonprofit organization category)

Farley Printing Company, Inc. in Wilmington is a commercial printer specializing in color offset lithography, in addition to direct mail, fulfillment and editorial and Web design. (Category of up to 25 employees)

HostMySite.com in Newark provides Web hosting services for personal and business sites, as well as Internet access to local markets. (Category of 26-75 employees)

Parcels, Inc. in Wilmington provides couriers, document retrieval, high-volume copying, videoconferencing, bankruptcy claims administration and settlement and incorporation services. (Category of 76-150 employees)
