Farley Printing Company 28 - Mulrooney's 20

Johnny Meatballs became Johnny TD getting 3 and giving 2 while The Dutchman threw 3 TDs and stole one.

Darren "The Dutchman" Brodie continued to impress with his first 3 TD performance of the season. With 10 TD passes in 6 games he is threatening to break the franchise single season record of 14 - which says volumes about just how bad this guy has been over the last few seasons, but I digress.

Johnny "TD" Myura came out of retirement to catch all 3 of The Dutchman's TD passes. There was some confusion during the game with Myura seemingly running the wrong patterns all day long and still having most of the balls thrown his way. It was cleared up in a post game press conference when the Dutchman admitted that while he had been yelling at John in the huddle to show the other receivers that he was honoring the playbook he had been pulling him aside afterwards and giving him instruction on the new patterns... which is nice way of telling everyone else on the team to go shove it up their.............

This went over quite well with the rest of the FPC receivers who totalled about 3 receptions combined to Johnny's 18. Overall the Dutchman went 21 for 28 for 246 yards with 18 of his passes and 241 yards going to Johnny. It is worth noting that of the three that were caught by the other receivers 2 were deflections on balls thrown to John. The Dutchman was kind enough to look toward Mitts on one play before throwing the ball so far over his head that it hit the side fencing. Apparently he thought he was throwing to Johnny. When he realized it was Mitts he just fired it out of bounds.

As deep threat Marcus P Jennings III said after the game. "John caught some great balls, I'm really glad he's part of the team. That's why I hope he doesn't get hit by a bus on his way home. Seriously. Watch for the bus."

Defensively, Farley Printing was stronger than the score implied. Missing starting linebacker Matt Feasterabum, the team was forced to move Marcus P Jenning's III out of his customary safety spot and take it's chances with Johnny TD. It was a failed experiment at best. Apparently Johnny TD not only knows how to score TDs, he knows how to give them up as well. Regardless, he caught 3 and gave up 2 so he was still one up for the day.

Heavy Kevy was held without a sack for the first time of the season which was probably more a result of the mud than anything else.

The signature play of the game was a Big Angry interception. The BA picked off a pass over the middle with Farley Printing up 14-6. To the suprise of everyone on Mulrooney's and Farley Printing, he was able to juke two defenders and then made a pitch to MPJIII who proceeded to bobble the ball for about 15 yards before hauling it in one handed. MPJIII broke it open to about the Mulrooney's 15 before pitching it back to The BA who had smartly trailed the play. The BA broke to the sidelines and then cut back inside to the 4 yard line before making an over the shoulder and behind the back pitch to a gutless, motherless, heartless Dutchman who had jogged behind the play before seeing an opportunity for a TD and sprinting forward. He caught the ball, tripped over his own legs, hopped once on his left foot and stumbled forward before diving at the last minute and screaming like a woman. To the dismay of everyone he skidded over the goal line for a TD.

The Dutchman was kind enough to return the favor to the Big Angry and MPJIII by making sure to not throw another ball to them all day and throwing a third TD pass to Johnny.

Our hero, The Dutchman: like school in summertime...
