Farley Printing Company 14 - ServPro 27
Farley Printing lost its fourth straight game to complete its drop from 1st to 7th place. With its playoff hopes in serious jeopardy, it seems likely that changes will be made in effort to begin rebuilding the once proud franchise.
For the 4th time in 5 games the FPC offense failed to score more than two TDs. And for the 6th straight game it turned the ball over 2 times. Folks, I don't care who you are or how good your defense is, you just can't win that way. And well...Farley Printing hasn't been winning.
The Dutchman didn't throw an interception for the first time in almost two months, threw a TD pass and ran another in. Unfortunately, It was overshadowed by The Big Angry's interception on ServPro's 5 yard line. And even that was overshadowed by Johnny Meatballs' interception which was returned 70 yards for a TD.
The defense played valiantly, only giving up two TDs when given field to work with. The final TD was scored on a 4th down conversion with no time on the clock after the offense had turned it over on their own 18 yard line. In the first half Lil Mitts came up with another diving interception and the defense was able to hold Servpro on downs. As usual, it was not enough.
Chris Boschizzle suffered what may be a season ending injury and will finish the season blanked on hammer stats and angry as can be.
Highly touted free agent Willie D. was released after Sunday's game after a dispute with the team trainer. Chris Comps returns to the lineup this weekend will take over for Johnny Meatballs who has been sent back to the defensive side of the ball where he belongs.
FPC must beat State Property this weekend in order to stay alive for the playoffs. If they are able to close out the season 2-0 and make it into the knockdown round they will have a chance to advance to the playoffs. But they'll need to score more than 14 points a game to do it.
