Farley Printing Company 14 - Hurricanes 7

A wise man once said, "Good teams have good games and bad games. And great teams have great games and good games." Well, one thing is for sure, the FPC Football Giants are not a great team. I'm not sure they're even a good team. But what they are is a team that does just enough to win. Never more than they have to, but just enough. If you were to spot FPC 7 points...well, the smart money would be that FPC would win by 7 - not 21, not 14, not even 8. Just 7.

And so would be the case when the Farley Printing Company Football Giants took the field last Saturday to play the MB Hurricanes. It wasn't a pretty game. Then again, not many of FPC's games are - never have been.

Due to a roster techincality, FPC was spotted 7 points before kick off. And as you would expect, FPC used every one of those 7 points en route to a 14-7 victory.

FPC played without controversial QB Dutchman Brodie, so Larry" Bubby Brister" Hewes was given the rock.

FPC opened up on D and while they allowed the Hurricanes to drive down into the red zone, Lil Mitts put a stop to the drive with his 2nd interception in as many games.

With Bubby Brister Hewes doing his best Dutchman imitation, FPC moved the ball down the field in typically frustrating fashion averaging 4 to 5 yards a play. Hewes capped off the drive with a bowlegged, ball extended in front TD run that is quicky becoming this teams trademark score.

The Hurricanes closed the first half with a touchdown drive of there own to bring the score to 14-7.

After receiving the kickoff, Hewes began the drive with an ill advised Bosch-like deep throw into not only a strong wind but also double coverage. It was summarily dismissed and then intercepted.

Luckily for Hewes, there was no Burns on defense to slow things down and FPC was able to keep the Hurricanes in check for the rest of the game. With a combination of circus catches by Marcus P Jennings III and a clutch 4th and 11 catch by JoKer, FPC was able to run out the clock...in unspectacular fashion, I might add.
